Forest house Overveen
ResidentialForest House Overveen is a calm, open home where material, function, and detail are carefully balanced. The layout flows naturally, with clear sightlines and rooms that connect seamlessly.
An old shed next to the property was repurposed and connected to the main house, now functioning as additional living space and a guest bedroom. This new connection respects the original structure while introducing refined, modern interventions.
The interior combines soft, natural finishes with raw, expressive elements. Original ceiling beams and red-painted construction beams were left exposed, adding character and contrast to the muted palette of wood, plaster, and linen. A blue-toned kitchen forms a bold yet balanced focal point, grounded by a checkerboard-tiled floor that adds rhythm and a sense of play.
Light shifts throughout the day, emphasizing texture and structure. The result is a grounded, honest home — simple, warm, and made to be lived in.
